Air Force Made Me MAD!!!

The Air Force told me that I could ship out on 04/20/04 for 4n031 (Medic) Training. They knew that I was scheduled to go to LVN school on 04/05/04. I kept asking if I needed to call the school and let them know. They kept saying no..not yet ..let us work out the details. I am supposed to start LVN school on Monday. My recruiter called and I told him that I was talking to the school. He got mad at me and asked why did I not do it before. I said because you kept telling me to wait. I told him that I could not wait until it is the day before I am supposed to be at school and tell them I am not coming. He got mad and said I set all this stuff up for you. Truth is I am not getting half the stuff he said that I would get anyway. He is the one who kept saying wait. If I am locked into my loans ..I am going to LVN school. I am going to get what I paid for. Does anyone have any thoughts about this? I am not officially in the Air Force.

Hi everyone,

New to this forum but I noticed that the 4n051 afsc was being discussed and I had a question. I'm currently in the Air National Guard thinking of cross-training into the 4n031 medical career field. I know I would have to acheive the 4n051 level before challenging the LVN - I'm in Oklahoma by the way, where they still allow (I believe?) you to challenge. My question though, if I challenged the NCLEX here in Oklahoma and became a civilian LPN, would I be able to transfer my credentials to another state if we moved? Thank you for any information/advice you can give me.
