I'm not playing "Devil's advocate" here, and I abhor what happens regarding law "enforcement" in Texas, the "good 'ol boy" network and all that....... but....... just in case some patient is being maltreated by a physician right now, and a nurse looking at this thread is too frighhtened to report him/her....., what are some ideas for dealing with that?
Worst case, do nothing (and feel guilty for the rest of your life), follow GilaRN's procedure, or, since the TNA is siding with the nurses now, contact them and ask them to handle it....... Let's be part of the solution!
You need to report this type of information to the Texas Medical Board. If you want updated information on the case, then you can give them your contact information, but tell them you want to remain anonymous. You could also contact your state's nurse's association and ask for advice in dealing with the situation.
