I came into nursing in 1966. At that time student nurses were still being used as cheap labor. However, the tide was beginning to turn against that practice.

It doesn't really surprise me. Management will try anything to break the wages and professionalism we now have. With so many of us and with the greying of the population they will try something. In the U.S the rich are getting richer and the poor, poorer.

Not that I want them to, I just forsee it.
