Plan B Available for all per Court Ruling

  1. 1 In a long-awaited decision released early this morning, U.S. District Court Judge Edward Korman ordered the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to make emergency contraception available over-the-counter to women of all ages,

With the court's ruling today, drug companies can now apply to make EC available to women of all ages and at stores other than just pharmacies--eliminating human error in determining who can and cannot purchase the medication.

Just determined that the morning after pill WILL be made available, OTC, to women of 'any' age, with no consent from parents, or anybody. Good job, troops!

Probably a lot of jh/hs boys very happy about this. One less reason to not say no.

Taking a medication without instruction from a doctor for anyone isn't safe, let alone a minor. If they want it, fine get your hiney to planned parenthood, talk to a doctor and take it. It's not NyQuil, or Claritin...it's a hormone, and should be regulated. There are many cold mess that you can't purchase without being a certain age, but we are gonna hand this out willy-nilly? Planned parenthood is already available, at no cost, to all ages.

Like others have said, there is not always a PP around to help you and the right wing of America is determined to defund it as much as they possibly can anyway...

You're right, it's a potentially dangerous drug. But so is ibuprofen. You can buy a standard pack of 200 pills and kill yourself with an overdose easily.
