Nurses have used hand-held resuscitation pumps to keep critically ill babies alive after a power cut at Perth's leading women's and specialist neo-natal hospital.
King Edward Memorial Hospital for Women in the western Perth suburb of Subiaco was thrown into chaos on Sunday when emergency generators failed to work during the blackout.
It was more than an hour until power was restored.
Hospital spokeswoman Amelia Coleman says hospital wards were left in darkness and nurses had to use hand-held resuscitation pumps.
