If you're 60 years old with tons of experience, no one will even look at your resume. It has taken 4 months to finally land a part time job (12 hours a week) with a home care company in a large city.
I've had reject letters sent within hours of responding to a help wanted posting. I'm slightly limited in my job choices due to a bad back (osteoarthritis in neck and lower back) due to years of lifting and positioning patients.....but I still have to eat and pay bills.
Still looking for part time or per diem work to fill in the remaining hours of availability.
