Its interesting how one would expect a level of maturity in someone who claims to be in Nursing school.

If the President had appointed a Dr there would be an outcry. He has appointed a former Nurse, still people find something to whine about. When are you going to realize how utterly RIDICULOUS you sound?.... my guess? Never...

    Oh well....

Look, just so we are all clear on this, I was complaining about our current state of economy, not the lady that was nominated nor the president so knock it off.

what's a former nurse i wonder? she has rn in her name so she must hold an active license. lol
i was thinking the same thing. i am very happy for the nurse that is nominated. i suppose she may have accidently related her status as a former bedside nurse and this was misinterpreted. or maybe the writer just does not understand that a person with "rn" behind his/her name is not a former nurse.

in any case, i make sure to relate that i am a nurse. some people will throw in other titles and occupations to make sense of what i do and i am always sure to correct them... "no, i am a nurse. i am not a ____ that is a different scope of practice."

this article and the thread has nothing to do with the state of the economy. if you do not want people to comment negatively about your opinions, then be respectful and on topic when you post to a public forum.

So now she will be harassed by the Republicans instead of her former boss. To her I say congratulations, and good luck.
She's a nurse. She's put up with worst than Republicans I'm sure

your right, it was unfair of me to rant on this article/post about the current state of the economy. was having a moment just then when i 1st replied....
i was in no way trying to degrade the lady who was nominated, i didn't even open the article...
and as for obama, well, i have mixed emotions about him anyways, none the less this is not a political forum.........or is it?

side note, i am sick of politicians flip flop attitude seeming not to care about anyone but themselves and big business, the news media not reportin the real news, (ie-police brutality, people starving, losing their homes, etc etc. i rely on colbert/stewart for news anymore; the rest are a joke. i just figured with the hundreds of posts on here about nurses being underpaid, unemployed and being taken advantage of, taking on way too many pt's to cut the bottom dollar so the big ceo's can pocket more monies, well it was bad timing, when i opened this website up and saw this thread....
