NYC Nurse Accused Of One Million Theft From Employer

Jacqueline Camaro’s alleged theft was discovered after her boss, Upper East Side oncologist Mitchell Gaynor took his own life in 2015.

Nurse accused of swiping $1M from oncologist in Manhattan - NY Daily News

Dr. Mitchell Gaynor was a celebrated cancer physician who as noted above committed suicide. It is interesting that apparently the allegedly "stolen" funds weren't noticed until what seems an audit was done of late doctor's estate. One wonders if "financial" issues didn't contribute to the doctor committing suicide and thus was he not aware his nurse (allegedly) was stealing vast sums.

You ought to read the links then; for the nurse offered no such defence at her arrest/arraignment and unless things have changed is still in custody as bail was denied.

Even after an audit of the late physician's estate turned up the thefts, and nurse was terminated she (allegedly) *still* continued to steal funds.
