by brian Admin Mar 24, '04TRENTON, N.J. -- With less than two weeks to go before a possible strike, dozens of union nurses from Cooper University Hospital stepped up public pressure on management Monday, distributing informational leaflets outside the Camden hospital.
More than 130 registered nurses from Cooper _ joined by dozens of colleagues from eight other New Jersey hospitals with bargaining ongoing or about to start _ braved the cold and wind at 6 a.m. for the leafleting, said Jeanne Otersen. Otersen, public policy director for the nurses' union, Health Professionals and Allied Employees, said others were to follow suit for the evening shift change.
