Here in PA, a great many hospitals are on hiring freezes. Mine included. Despite this, every orientation period has 2 or 3 new grads in it. The last one had a girl who relocated here
with only a few months experience. This, of course, raises eyebrows amongst the people who graduated from the school right down the street but were told we were on a hiring freeze. It also draws the ire of the nurses who have been here a long time and have had their PTO drained from being called off for low census. Where are these people working?
(my plans as of right now). I aslo believe you can't go from ADN to MSN without BSN either (another plan of mine)!
