Today, the union says it's gotten a hold of information that proves the hospital isn't being up front with the nurses.
According to Lisa Russell of the Service Employee International Union Local 1199, the union is intervening with the hospital's annual state review to put pressure on management to come to the table. Russell says the hospital is predicting a more than one-million dollar profit, which coincides with an almost four and a half percent drop in payroll. The state proposal doesn't account for higher wages and benefits that come with the union's contract. In fact, Russell says it accounts for a wage freeze.
