Medical staff sued for inmate's death

I Have Worked In The Prison Setting For Many Years-i Have Found That More Times Than Not, People Are Quick To Assume That The Care Inmates Receive Is Mediocre--i Have To Say That I Do Not Agree-at Least The Facility That I Worked At! The Md And Np Were Wonderful-the Inmates Reccieve Care Much Quicker Than I Would Be Able With Similar C/o.

I hope someone follows this story and posts a followup about how this court case turned out.

ive only worked a few months in a prison - but what i have seen some of these guys get REAL good at faking it - we may not know the whole story = perhaps this was a case of crying wolf and threatening lawsuits to many times or perhaps when he was in confinemenet in the past he had done the lay on floor and attempted god only knows what to guards and or staff - its been known to happen so perhaps when he refused to do as instructed ( which by the way they gave up the right to "do as they please when they did whatever they did to get them on prison) it was in his careplan to do the pepper spray as a safety measuer when they go in - - it would have made the security issue a priority above the pts "emergency" because he could very well have been faking it again -

one thing that must be remebered - no matter what the heck is going on physically - security comes first! these guys and women ( no matter if they "get out in few months' ) are there for a reason - ill wait to say the staff were wrong until facts are proven

ps) i have seen pts in prison do some pretty heinous things to themselves to make themselves ill, and even try to kill themselves - i have seen them purposly injure themselves and blame it on guards and staff and try to sue - only to be found out and caught injuring themselves by more than one person for proof
