Sounds like my sister's old boyfriend.

She has given birth and 5 minutes later I am holding my niece. He says (and yes in front of my sister)... "That suits you. When do I get to knock you up?"

She still didn't dump him for a good long while after that.

Some men are pigs.

When this happened to me I was accused of not caring for my patient and I ended up without a job, but nobody had the guts to tell me they weren't giving me any more work. They just didn't call me anymore. The incident was never resolved at all. And then when it was time to get another job. Oh, a story in itself. Of course it was my fault I was sexually assaulted and I should have been jumping for joy to go back to that hell hole. I'm surprised the manager didn't give me pointers on how to please the attacker. My stomach turns when I think of this. There are people who leave the profession when they are traumatized like this.

You know, now that I think of it, I was subject to sexual assault when I worked in male dominated fields, and now that I am in a female dominated field I am still subject to sexual assault. Certainly makes it clear where women stand in this society in this day and age.

Sad isn't it. Perhaps we should learn to stick together like men do.

My mum used to say men stick together like poop to a sidewalk. Of course she didn't use the word poop.

Having been in a group that often lacks concensus, it is refreshing to see that no one has denied the inappropriateness of that guy's behavior; and the right anyone has, to summon tax paid reenforcement to emphasize its unlawful nature!

very sickening. mustve been very uncomfortable for the nurse. the guy deserves his punishment. and i feel bad for the mom, since it must be a joyful experience when holding your just born child, but then her husband ruined it. kudos to the nurse for informing management and taking direct action.

im a male nurse and we dont tolerate patients or any immature behaviors like these in my job. we should treat males and females equally. sometimes i see an attractive person, but i just brush it off as someone already occupies my heart

I once had an FOB wink at me with a letcherous smile while his wife was pushing his baby out. I was so shocked I didn't know how to respond so I just kept focusing on the mom, exacly where his focus should have been.

I know!! Quite a few names came to mind a little too quickly, and I would have been in trouble if I hadn't thought long and hard before finishing the posting. Old boy is just DISGUSTING, to say the least, and the new mom would do well in my opinion to stop, pack her stuff and get as far away from Mr. Nasty as possible as SOON as possible.

Chances are it will happen again.
