Immigration: More Foreign Nurses Needed?

I declined a tech position,at the hospital where my mom works because of the fact it had foreign nurses who happen to be from the phillipines ( if thats how you even spell it). I can not stand it when they talk in there LANGUAGE and form cliques because they are "superior" hahah thats what they think they are but unfortunately they are so wrong !! WE NEED OUR jobs back !

The people that come from Mexico provide a great service to America and ,unfortunately they make it so hard for people who really deserve to come and make a decent life here like my husbands and millions of others . On the other hand importing nurses is hurting our economy because they are making the nursing shortage into A NURSING SHORTAGE nurses here should have first priority to jobs not foreigners . Thats how I feel plain and simple.....

Cutting off one's nose to spite the face, excellent skill to have in this economy, I'm sure there is a new grad somewhere who would love to fill the position, you say we NEED our jobs back yet you turned your back on the job and want to cry over it? The job you claim was needed was there, you chose to turn it down, that's all on you.

So you're saying that nurses from the philippines do not provide great services to this country? and they don't really deserve to come to this country and make a decent life for themselves? I don't have any problem for anyone, anybody from foriegn land coming to our great country to chase their piece of american dream. veryone is entitiled to, if you're great in nursing then chase your dreams using your nursing skills, if your great in agriculture and mechanics then go that way.

I don't think there anything in the US Constitution that states that all foreigners are able to come to the USA and seek their piece of the American Dream. There is no entitlement for Americans why should there be for people not born in the USA.

And of course, all foreign nurses who have endured the immigration process and found employment are appreciated and deserve to find their way. But to say we have an open door policy that foreign nurses are "entitled"
