HEART IN A BOX........

  1. 2 Talk about amazing....
It's really hard for me to believe that a tailgate-style cooler packed with ice is what saves lives every day. This solution? Holy. Cow.

Warning: The device is awesome, but it is visually shocking.

    I know right?

I remember in school I had to write a paper on a revolutionary medical invention. I got assigned the mechanical heart....specifically the Jarvick 7 heart. Invented by Robert Jarvick.....
Robert Jarvik, MD is widely known as the inventor of the first successful permanent artificial heart, the Jarvik 7. In 1982, the first implantation of the Jarvik 7 in patient Barney Clark caught the attention of media around the world. The extraordinary openness of this medical experiment, facilitated by the University of Utah, fueled heated public debate on all aspects of medical research.

There was NO information on this and I had to write to the inventor and he was wonderful in his response.

Look where we are today. I am awestruck.
