^This!

Among my classmates were some who sought out opportunities to practice skills in clinicals, and some who were happy sitting idly by and waiting for the nurse or instructor to pour the knowledge into them. Well, we have all become nurses, guess which ones made the transition easier?

Our grades and averages are posted on Blackboard after each test (we see only our own grade). The tests and grades are reviewed by all of the full time faculty in the department before they are posted for us to view. If you've got a good average going into the final along with a satisfactory in clinical, it would be very difficult for a teacher to manipulate the final exam grade to have a student fail especially with the tests being graded by a scantron (we use those bubble in standardized answer sheets). (not saying it's impossible, just improbable)

it would seem some are confusing viewing and reviewing......it would seem that the students in the OP did not even see or had made known to them WHAT their grade on the final was.....and while i think it unethical to not review every test, if it is in the student hand book, then the student has bought that faulty bill of goods and is stuck with it. however that shouldnt mean they are not entitled to know what grade they attained.

Frankly, I just assumed that all RN's had to work in order to maintain their license...maybe not.
In Massachusetts, if you get all your CEUs you don't have to work a shift at all to keep your license. I know many older nurses who haven't worked in 30 years but still have a valid license because they have taken the required CEUs and have paid their state taxes.

I wouldn't have any reason to be suspicious of one year time frame. I completed my RN in 3 summer sessions lasting 4 months each. I passed my boards with 75 questions, and all of our class passed boards the first time. We had 4 students start with our class who did not graduate with us, two who moved early ad 2 who transferred into conventional format. We were told it would be like taking a shower under a fire hose and they told the truth! I would definately do it again!

The school involved is very unethical. I can't imagine our instructors and administration treating us that way. I don't think the students should have any problem winning this law suit. I sure hope they get damages also.

Many nursing schools play games with their students by manipulating final test grades (we never got to see our final exam after it was taken), clinical instructors that fail people using lies, using test questions from another college from things they never read or went over (ours does that sometimes), or questions that have answers that are a matter of opinion and can't be proven one way or the other. I hope these students win! I don't why these schools get away with the unnecessary B.S. they put their students through.
