County Nurses Sue Over Working Conditions

  1. Suffolk nurses turn to EEOC over salaries

    Suffolk County nurses who feel they're overworked and underpaid have consulted the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission to pursue possible wage discrimination claims against County Executive Steve Levy's administration.

    About 20 nurses met with Electra Yourke, enforcement supervisor with the EEOC's New York district office, Monday night to discuss .....

    I' d say they have decent bennies-it means that each nurse's benefits package equals over half of their yearly base salary..I also work for a county facility and our hourly rate is not as good as most of the private facilities in the area but our benefits are awesome...
