20 yr. old Brazilian model loses hands and feet to sepsis

  1. The infection quickly spread - causing her to go back to hospital for tests that revealed her condition.

    Septicaemia set in her limbs, cutting off circulation and forcing doctors to amputate her hands and feet.

    my God, that is very tragic, esp being so young.
    i'm very sorry to hear about this.
    prayers for survival, recovery and strength to get through this.

    I can't imagine how awful that must be. I hope that she is able to recover her health and deal with this. Prayers for her and her loved ones.

    So sad....in a follow up article I just read, she actually died this morning at 3 am...really sad..

    A few sources are saying that the girl died early this morning. How very sad.

    I'm glad she didn't have to eke out a few meager years of being a quadruple amputee on dialysis.

    Poor, poor girl.

    Yes, I agree. We always want the best possible outcome, but if this was the best she could've had, then perhaps this outcome was for the best.

    Still, we always wish for that miracle, don't we.
