ED staffing numbers

by LLMH

I am trying to adjust staffing and am looking for any specific information above and beyond the vague ENA position statement. I am a fairly new manager and wonder if there aren't standards or some fancy way of figuring nurse to visit ratio based on acuities and annual visits. We are level III trauma- with 22,500 visits per year. Any help??
