Our hospital has started installing large computer screens on a wall on each ward to be used in clinical handovers. It will be using a program to tie together 3 other systems that only communicate on a very basic level.

Our screen went where we had a whiteboard that we used to keep a list of pt names and referrals and results and discharge plans on.

I emailed the other NUMs offering them the whiteboard. 30 SECONDS after the email went out someone had grabbed it.
Another NUM who had bought some more up to date equipment for her ward offered her old equipment free to a good home. 2 MIN later another ward had a Doppler.

It always amazes me how quick NUMs will respond to a freebie!
