I was never convicted do i still have to disclose the arrest. I did have one conviction on there for misdemeanor possession from 24 years ago. Please help

Yes, you must disclose, and disclose it all. Otherwise it'll come up on your background check and you'll have to explain why you omitted the information, which will probably cause hospitals and nursing homes to deny you the opportunity to do your clinicals there.

Will they deny me for my arrests if I was never convicted or tried for the case. I am really hoping they still accept me into the program I'm so nervous

A lot depends on what the charges were, and what kind of drugs you were in possession of when you were arrested/convicted. It also depends on how long ago the more recent arrest was and what you have done to amend your life since then.

TBH, you probably won't have too much difficulty getting into the program or being licensed, unless you've been charged with theft or abuse, or any felony. Just be sure to be totally honest, and prove you are capable of getting past your history.

I haven't been convicted of any abuse or any felonies I was charged with felony kidnapping and felony stolen car but the charges were later dismissed a few days later when the police realized I was innocent and I only had information of the crime but not actual involvement. The charges are on there but the sentence and everything else says no data next to the charges. I was a witness to the crime and the police thought I did it untilbthe victim told them that I had nothing to do with it I'm not even sure if it will come up on my background check all I know is I was arrested for the matter but later released upon further investigation

Then you probably won't have an issue with your school or the Board of Nursing when it comes time to get your license. You still need to disclose your arrest, of course, but the fact that you're a CNA means you've already passed muster with the BON. Good for you.

Thank you so much I have been racking my brain and I'm an emotional ball of mess right now. People make mistakes and we learn from them. I'm not the same person I was 10 years ago and want to be a nurse more than anything in the world. I appreciate your feed back and I think I'm gonna be ok
