NCLEX with multiple DUIs

My son has 3 DUIs, 2 reckless ops and a possession of marijuana charge within 6 years. He is starting clinicals. I am concerned the board of nursing won't let him sit for the NCLEX. Of course, I don't want him to invest all that time and money for nothing. The Ohio board told him DUIs aren't a criteria for licensure. I'm suspecting he didn't mention his complete history. Anyone have any experience with this kind of thing??

even if he didn't tell the school when he applies for registration with the state it will ask about any history and if he doesn't declare and then is found out the consequences will be harsh. That is my understanding when reading this forum

The third came during school. I'm worried one will want to hire him if he actually gets a license

My sister got through boards without question to her priors. Possession of marijuana as well. It was finding employment that she had trouble with.

A person with 3 DUI's has a problem with drugs/alcohol and poor judgement. The behavior is what's scary. Continuing to get caught is the documented evidence that this person should not be responsible for the care of others.

Is this person still drinking/using/driving? You're worried he might lose some money. The BON is concerned someone might lose their life. Even if he does manage to get a license what employer will knowingly want to take on that liability.

I had a criminal history and sitting for the NLCEX was no problem, it was after finding out I passed and waiting and waiting for my license to come only to get a letter saying that I wasn't going to be getting it until I cleared up some things on my record. I went that very day to get my issue expunged and it delayed me but I am grateful I did it.
