I will be enrolling in an LVN program in January. I have a petition for a declatory order I need to send to the TX BON. I received a DWI 3 years ago when I was a minor, and I have one pending now so stupid. I'm currently going to AA meetings and looking forward to being sober for the rest of my life. However, I am worried that the BON will deny me eligibilty to take the NCLEX and get my license. Has anyone or anyone you know been allowed licensure with 2 DWI's?

I was elligible fpr NCLEX with one DWI pending...no other priors and they approved me with zero stipulations...but from my understanding 1 DWI is seen as a common youthful indiscretion...a 2nd one is frowned upon like you didnt learn your lesson...it's a case by case basis and can take up t 45 days for an answer fron the BON unless it goes into review...they make grant u a license but with stipulations which is extremely hard to get hired with..or order you to do TPAPN...
