Great news with two misdemeanors

I have been sick and worried for almost two months about not being able to take my state exam to become a certified nurse aide because i have two misdemeanors for profane language over public airway (got into an argument with an old friend in 2006). I have been checking the BON website faithfully for an update. This morning I received a call from NACES saying I was no longer pending approval from the VA Bon to take my certification test. They approved me to take it on feb 2. I started crying because I thought my history would have an impact on my future. I'm so thankful. First stop CNA while I wait to apply to nursing school in May.

Wow, that is great news. That didn't take them long at all to approve you to sit for boards, what was it like 2 weeks. That is great for me then too. Just so you know, I applied to nursing school for a direct entry accelerated MSN program and was accepted. I was upfront and honest about my past too on my application. I feared the worst about getting in and then I did. I can't believe it b/c it is a very competitive school. So I believe you have a very promising future ahead of you. Best of luck!
