CNL programs with background

I applied to UVa CNL program and I do not think I will get in because of my past. 14 years ago I got a DUI and 8 years ago I got possession of stolen goods charge which was dismissed but still on my record I think. I was honest about it because lying obviously won't help my situation. I want to be a nurse and I have worked so hard to get to this point. I'm about to graduate from UVa and I love the CNL program at UVa. I can not foresee going anywhere else. Can anyone pose advice on what they think my chances of getting in are or is this a lost cause to be accepted anywhere for that matter.
