Some research has led me here. I really hope I can get some answers to help me out. So here is my story. I am currently and LVN (14yrs) in the state of TX. I graduated RN school back in 2007. I got into some trouble (someone I was giving a ride to had drugs in their pocket and I was charged as well, charges were dropped after going to court) with the board of nursing when I graduated and was placed on probation for 2 yrs with stipulations. But it took the BON 3 1/2 yrs to investigate my case. So by the time I was allowed to sit for my NCLEX here in Texas I only had a little less than 6 months to take my boards. So I did some studying not near enough and went to sit for my boards and I didnt pass it. In the mean time some other stuff came up with my mom and I wasnt able to take them again. So I ran out of time. The BON is telling me I need to repeat the program in order for me to be able to take the NCLEX again. Then just the other day an RN was telling me that I could go to another state and sit for my boards. Does anyone know if that is true or not. I really dont want to have to repeat RN school again. So I am looking for anyway in which I dont have to. Just trying to figure all this out before Oct which is when the next RN program starts here. Please is there anyone out there that can help me? Thanks so much for you time.
