Non-healthcare Master's Degree

Nurses Job Hunt

Published

I am a second career RN with a BSN, working as an RN for less than a year. I am looking for a better position, more aligned with my goals.

Should I omit my MBA and non-healthcare BA from my resume? I worry that recruiters will think I want to move over to administration or something, and won't want to invest in me as a new grad/novice RN.

I am only interested in bedside care and have zero interest in administration. I have already had my share of shuffling papers and too many meetings!

Specializes in NICU, ICU, PICU, Academia.

As a second-degree nurse, it is understood that you have non-healthcare degree(s). I would hesitate to leave information off a resume, it looks like you're hiding something. Makes them wonder what else you omitted. KWIM?
