Moving across country job search

  1. 0 I am moving from Ohio to Louisiana in late February/early March. I am an RN with 1 year of MedSurg experience. I am in the process of applying for a state license transfer already. Here are my questions:
    1. When should I start sending in applications and resumes?
*Should I wait closer to my moving date or asap?
    2. How can I make myself seem just as employable as someone local?
*I already have a place to live when I move.
    3. Should I send resumes and applications online then call later? Or apply in person?
*I'm moving in with my boyfriend so I am not opposed to travelling as often as needed for interviews.

Any other advice would be appreciated!
