BONE HEAD MOVE

Nurses Job Hunt

Published

I made a mistake. I interviewed for a full time nurse professor job and they want to move forward with my application. They asked for references and I included my CURRENT manager. My train of thought was that I work my ass off at my current staff nurse job and I can just tell her it's for an Adjunct(part time) position.

WELLL. of course they call and tell her it's a fulltime professor job and this is where I'm screwed. Manager is now calling me ....

What do I say now? I don't have an official offer, so I'm in a great big pickle. Bone head move :(

What you should do is talk to your boss honestly about the kinds of things that make you interested in moving and why you might choose to remain.

It is what it is and at this point, forthrightness is probably a good choice.

thanks. I've applied for positions in our company with no call backs. But you're right, it is what it is.
