Emailing a Recruiter

  1. Recently, I applied for a job and got an interview. I was put on the "Alternate list" - it's a bummer. I have emailed the recruiter and she told me I was 7 on the list. The position I was applying for is taking 20 new residents. I told her I am still interested in the position and to let me know if anything changes. She told that she is very close to my name and that I may hear from her FYI. That was 7 days ago... I know people who have gotten rejection letters, but I haven't. Any advice on what I should do? Should I email her again?

    Thnx.

Since it's been a week, another polite follow-up email asking her to let you know either way couldn't hurt.

I am also an alternate for the position you are speaking of I think. I am very anxiously waiting to hear from the recruiter as well. I'm sure as soon as she has a spot open up for us she will let us know. But the wait is KILLING me.

Did you end up emailing her to get an update?
