by millmick30 Feb 11Im a new peds home health nurse and i've been having trouble putting and keeping on the cpap for my 11 year old down syndrome boy. Seems the moment I almost have it on him, he wakes up , yanks it off and goes back to sleep:/ i try to be as discreet as possible and try not to disturb him..any help or advise please?

- Feb 12 by monkeybugI don't have any direct experience as the nurse, but I wear CPAP. Time is the best thing. Eventually he should get used to it, just be persistent. My machine logged hours of actual, correct usage, and every night my time would get a little bit better. When I started, I would yank it off in my sleep.
