Responsibilites regarding reporting colleagues

by lenoxs

Hello. I am an ADN student and almost done (3 more weeks ) I have to do a presentation for my clinical group tomorrow on the RN's responsibilites regarding reporting a chemically impaired colleague as well as responsibilities if a colleague is going to be sued for unethical or unsafe practice. Just wanted some insight from more experienced nurses regarding these issues. I know the basics, but am having difficulty on the web finding more specific requirements. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.....

Sara

In Arizona under the rules it says in part,
B. A RN shall:

7. Report unprofessional conduct, as defined in A.R.S. § 32-1601(16) and further specified in R4-19-403 and R4-19-814, to the
Board;
