by nimbex Jan 23, '03Sorry for all you northerners, this is old news...
But in NC... we have SNOW.... a 10 minute drive home was 90 minutes but it was GREAT
Miss it... from Buffalo where we measure feet per hour... here in fayetteville.... I might get 3 inches... but all schools are closed and all the bread and milk is gone... those of you not southern... don't ask... I think the bread is used to line the driveways to soak up the snow!!!!!
enjoying it all... hope you are too:kiss

- Jan 23, '03 by bagladyrnYep - every time they predict snow in the south, everyone goes out and buys up bread, coffee and toilet paper! Always these 3 items.
- Jan 23, '03 by Nurse IzzyI'm a southerner and have to absolutely laugh at us. I spent New Year's week in Ohio where we got 3-5 inches/day. Now I'm home and last night we got a "dusting" and EVERYTHING is closed. I mean EVERYTHING. Even Dr's offices and health clinics. Supposedly somewhere there is some ice, which I don't doubt because that's what we usually get here, but still - people, come on!! It's rather amusing. If I can get a picture I'll post it so all you "yankees" can get the same laugh I am!

I'm here in Fayetteville too...I'm from Cleveland and I now realize I don't miss the snow at all!
It's still coming down. There are accidents everywhere because the people here aren't accustomed to driving in these conditions.
I can, but I'm scared that someone else will slide into my van :roll
Well...I can look at the bright side..I have extra time to study and spend time with my children
Have fun...I might make a snowman!
