Yeah on the castration! Very, very slowly, with a REALLY dull butter knife..
I agree...but do this with a steak knife instead.

while emotionally I agree with the entire idea of castration, I do feel I need to point out that castration doesn't work. In fact even with out the "right equipment" these men reoffend using whatever implements are at hand. In some ways it may even be more difficult to convict them later on because of the lack of semen at the scene and the fact that they are castrated.
Most of the time these acts are not about sex but about power. I think we should lock them all up togethor and just shove food under the door. No interaction with the outside world. Let them do unto each other as they would do on the outside.

yeah but the pain he inflicted on the lady would be worth it for the castration. It might make him think twice!!!!!!!!!!

Don't worry about whether he'll get punished. A friend of mine is a prison nurse and she says that the people who go to prison for the rape of children and the elderly are somewhere below whale crap on the prison totem pole. She says they usually get repeated raped and assaulted while they are in prison if not killed outright. I can only pray that by having dementia that the victim will not remeber the incident, and pray to God for peace in her family for her enduring such a terrible act.
Maybe I"m off topic here. But this castration thing, it brings the best of our loving, tender care. We nurses can also be mean in carrying out punishment. I love that.
I agree with RNWannbe3 regarding the lives of rapists in prison. Sure is hell for those rapist and they don't get anybody's sympathies.

It amazes me that anyone could do something that disgusting. Makes me embarrassed to be a member of the same species.

it's unfortunate that you consider it mean because we're all for castration.
a man horrifically rapes a demented elderly lady and we're being mean in what we perceive to be suitable punishment?
that is not mean rep. that is a human reaction to an unconscionable crime.
and even if fairy girl is right, i still want that man tortured...no doubt about it.

Yes.. I can go with this.
I can't go the torture route. Sorry. I won't allow someone else's crime to bring me to his own cruel and demented level. :stone
And yes.. it IS about power. All the castrating in the world won't stop the behavior.

That's what makes us all so uniquely individual. :)
