Screwed up my phone interview, should I cancel face-to-face?

Nurses Job Hunt

I messed up today on one phone interview. There were questions, simple questions, that completely stumped me, and that awkwardness definitely came across during the phone interview. Should I not bother to go for the face-to-face interview? The deck is completely stacked against me after this.

Has anyone here flubbed a phone interview and ended up having a better face-to-face interview, and got a job?

Hey, I thought I totally screwed up my phone interview. I thought I sounded like a complete idiot. I stammered, said a lot of, "uhhhh..." and was totally unprepared for it. I thought for sure they would never call me back. Well, they did. I got a face to face interview and got the job.

You are your own worst critic. Do not also become your own worst enemy. Go for it!

I agree with what others have said. I thought I screw up on a phone interview...and two weeks later, I got the job! Go to the interview, and quit assuming the interviewers have already made up their minds about you. It's you who have made up your mind about the interviewers. Chin up!
