I have a meeting with a nurse manager on a prospective unit and want to have prepared questions ready to ask (broad as you like). Any recommendations?
I have a few on...staffing ratios, leadership styles, conflict management, unit dynamics etc...but are there any that I could really leave an impression with? I feel like mine are so cookie cutter...

You could ask about what the manager/unit does to keep nurses abreast on continuing education. Inservices? Encourage staff to attend conferences?
You could ask what do new staff coming to the unit seem to struggle most with
