Post-Interview

Nurses Job Hunt

Published

Hello,

I am a new graduate nurse. I just had my first interview today for a position I really want. I got the interview because I physically brought a cover letter & resume to the unit manager, she set up an interview the following week for me. However, because the unit manager was out on sick leave this week, she had her assistant nurse manager and 2 other staff nurses conduct the interview. And the ANM asked me, is that ok?! I said yes but was it ok?

I was told I would receive a call next week if I got the position. I sent thank you emails. But what else should I do? I just want this position so bad.

A thank you is always good. I sent an actual Thank you card in the mail and 2 days later I was offered the job. If you don't hear anything in a few days, I would give them a call.

Thank you Julz68! They said they should make a decision by Friday March 29th, so I'm going to call then, I was going to call sooner but my friend said I would come off pushy and desperate lol. I really want this position. I noticed that right after my interview the job was taken down off of their website, so hopefully that means something good for me :-)
