Need Advice on How to be Confident during Interviews!

Hi, I need some some on help on how to be confident during my interviews and not to let my nervousness come in. I have had some interviews before but due to me being nervous and not feeling that confident I have not received any job offers. It sucks because I have been looking for jobs for awhile and I really need one. I do prepare well and practiced my answers but I always seem to get nervous at the time of the interview. I also get nervous because when I try to prepare my answers there are some behavioral questions that I can not seem to think an answer to them. What should I do in order to do well in interviews and be able to land a position? Thanks!!!

I think what works best for me is to imagine the managers as peers rather than authority figures or those that will "control your destiny." That being said, of course I don't mean chat like you are with your girls at the mall, but know that they were once in your spot and they know you are a little nervous.

I find that the more I want a job, the more nervous I get, so it helps me to just believe that I am the best fit for the job and leave the rest to a higher power. The question is not "Why would they hire me?," its "Why WOULDN'T they hire me?!" Do the best you can and after that, its out of your hands and it doesn't make sense to worry about things that are out of your control.

Also, as with anything, the more interviews you go on, the better you will get at them. You will be coming home from interviews thinking of better answers you could have given, but save them in the memory bank for the next one!

It all depends on if you and the job you apply match, also if you and your interviewer click. Just think the interview as taking an exam. If you study well, know the content, like the teacher, like the subject, there is no way you are gonna fail or feel nervous during the exam. Make sure you do your research about the facility ahead of time and practice your answers with others so you can hear yourself. My last interview landed me the job because I have failed many interviews before and I learned a lot from my failures. Good luck!
