Help with possible interview

Nurses Job Hunt

Published

Hi everyone :) I was contacted for an interview with a cardiac sicu. I provided the dates that I could interview two weeks ago. I was contacted back yesterday by the recruiter, who said the dates I gave her wouldn't work. She asked for additional dates. Hoping to still be considered, I responded by telling her I was available tomorrow or anytime thereafter that was convenient for them. Now, I'm totally freaking out that they're going to want to interview tomorrow! I know that I requested that, but I just didn't want to lose out on the job :\ I really feel like I need to prepare more for the interview. Do you think they will actually want to interview me tomorrow? So nervous about this this morning, as I try to cram interview info into my head. Any response is greatly appreciated!

They may want to, but what bad would happen if they do? You have a day to prepare yourself.

Specializes in ER, M/S, Hospice Home Care.

Better sooner than later. Just brush up on common nursing interview questions and patient/family scenarios. Also, relax and remember that you're having a conversation-that's how you look at it. Be prepared for the strange questions, it's all about the managers' style.

Good point :) I just want to make sure I'm prepared; it is a very prestigious hospital.

Thanks for the advice! The interview was scheduled two weeks from now, so that gives me plenty of time to brush up on everything.
