That is an amazing title; and what an important position. Whoever gets this will certainly have national effects on the way our country handles health information with technology. Especially since the VA's systems are all linked - very cool position indeed!

Sometimes its not just about the "money"

Just my two cents.

Only in health care are people expected to take less than market rates for the ability to "make a difference." This is middle management money for any systems person in a metro area - not in health care.
