  1. 0 Although I have never held an actual IT position, I have worked a lot with a variety of different EHR as well as data mining as a UM nurse. I saw an opening at a local hospital for an RN informatics coordinator and thought I'd apply. I have always loved technology- especially how it's improved patient care. I also have interest in improving clinical documentation. My first interview seemed to go well and I was invited for a second interview. I know its not certain but i feel very positive about getting this job. I am very excited but I'm also concerned because I have such limited experience using their system (Meditech). Is this a difficult system to work with and learn? Would this be a good start for someone interested in working as a clinical documentation improvement specialist? For those of you in NI What are some challenges you face regularly or that are unique to this career field?
