Yesterday, the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society provided
policy recommendations for the Obama Administration and the 111th Congress.
HIMSS' central proposal is for a $25 billion investment to help non-governmental health care providers adopt electronic health records.
There is excellent content in the report related to documented examples of both soft and hard ROI from EMR/EHR systems.
