NOTICE

EHR SIG MEETING at the HIMSS ANNUAL CONFERENCE

TOPIC: MEDICAL IDENTITY THEFT

Monday, April 6, 2006

McCormick Convention Center

Room W12AB: 7:30 – 8:30 am

As a reminder, the EHR SIG will be hosting a meeting during the HIMSS event. At our last meeting, we heard the members suggest the topic for this meeting – Medical Identity Theft. To support the members, we have prepared the meeting as you requested. As a member of the SIG, we hope that you will make time out of your busy schedule to join us at this meeting. The agenda and presenters for the meeting are as follows:

· Opening / Welcome

· EHR SIG News

· Setting the stage - Medical Identity Theft: What is the problem and how big is it?

· What are organizations around the country doing to reduce this growing problem? What solutions are available to help with this problem?

· Open discussion

· Closing

Our confirmed speakers include John Macaulay, MD and Bill Braithwaite, MD. Both of these physicians are from Anakam, Inc. Dr. Macaulay is the Vice President of Healthcare & Life Sciences and Dr. Braithwaite is the Chief Medical Officer. We are working on securing a third speaker for this event.
