St. Luke's, Capitol Med, PHC, Medical City. Does anybody here work in any of these hospitals. If so, please help a fellow nurse out by telling me what I need to bring during my application aside from my resume. Any additional advice will be greatly appreciated.

good day! thank you so much for the info. so,it means the one i passed at st.luke's is for the quezon city branch? is global city branch still accepting aplicants this time? what are the requirements needed to bring? thanks in advance!

Ielts, Nclex and having IV license are advantages to get hired in SLMC? i spoke one of their staffs he said that i am going to pay 8000+ plus the seminar of I-dont-know costs 1,200 something. if i am going to recomend by this staff, i am going to pay half the price. and within one month, they call me to start my TRAINING>>> IS it true? or a SCAM?

are you talking about SLMC global city or quezon city? if you get accepted at SLMC-GC (meaning you passed the initial, technical, medical, etc.), you DON'T have to pay anything for the training.

Only the HR personnel can give you a definite answer for whether having these tests are an advantage but given that they are looking to retain the nurses they will train - I doubt they would be. Placing these in your resume may work against you.

I don't know how the process over at SLMC-QC goes but for SLMC-Global there are no training fees and the only time one does receive a call for training is after the technical interview. Applicants that make it to the technical interview process will be told immediately after whether they are qualified to work with SLMC-Global.

Perhaps the staff you spoke with was referring to the SLMC-QC process? :)

When I left the Philippines 30 years ago St. Luke's Hospital was a small hospital back then. I've heard that this hospital is supposed to be one of the biggest and most modern hospital in the country and they are expanding.

I will fly to the Philippines three days after I officially retire from my nursing job in Oct. 2008. As an RN I am curious about St. Luke's Hospital because I heard so much good things about this hospital. If I can squeeze in a few hours of my busy schedule I may go there just to look around, and maybe meet some of the professional nurses at St. Luke's so that we can perhaps compare our professional experiences. That may be a fun and informative thing to do.

Maybe one of them will read this post.

they are accepting applicants who are already iv therapist. most common documents like tor, diploma, board rating, 2x2 pic with blue background, sss no., tin no., prc license.

I feel like these hopsitals hire those who have relatives already employed with them.

Hi! Don't worry, having a relative in St.Luke's is only an advantage but this is not true for all cases. Your relative may only help you get an "instant" initial interview after submitting your resume because for some, they have to wait for the call for 3-4 weeks before they get scheduled for an interview. So basically, this only helps you process your application faster. I have a friend who has 2 relatives but sadly, he didn't get in. You just have to impress them with your answers in the technical interview. Just be confident and wear your prettiest smile. Good grooming be a big plus. Good luck guys!:nurse::nurse::nurse:
