World Philippines Nursing Q/A

What are your NLE scores in each of the 5 parts and how many times did you take the exam before you passed it? :yeah:

81.4% overall.

Mine was so depressing if you have experienced being my shoe. I tried to apply in a hospital in our place but the chief nurse turned me down because of my board rating who happens to be 75% flat. i don't know what happen when i took the exam. I saw some of familiar faces working on that hospital and I know their performances going back in college. I can't imaging that they got high grades than i am. I'm not questioning their capabilities but the situation I cant explain. Its just that some hospital are really unfair, they should look at first the TOR before judging the person. If only i can retake the exam then i will. is it possible to retake the exam even if you passed it already?

hi! yes you can retake the nle but your previous exam will be null and void. and if you fail you cannot pick the first exam where you pass. that's what i know. good luck to you! :)

hmmmm. tis weird how I actually forgot my board rating. used to be so proud of it. Had to check my PRC board rating pa. :lol2:

First take (June 2009), got 83.2%. Placed 17th. Currently working as a company nurse. Still waiting for a job as a staff nurse at a hospital.

hey i knew someone who took it twice. he also passed the boards twice! :coollook:

@MissRN26

Maybe he/she was a conditional passer on his/her first take. A conditional passer is someone who obtains a general average of 75% or higher, but gets a grade lower than 60% on any subject.

In order to be considered an RN, a conditional passer is given two options: either retake only the subject that he/she failed, or take the entire board exam all over again. If he retakes the entire board exam, the scores he/she obtained from the previous exam will be considered null and void.

Ergo, that someone you know might have been a conditional passer on his/her first take, and a full-fledged passer on second take.

hello! I ask my friend, he said prc will ask you to sign a waiver, before retaking the exam. so if you failed the next its on you. he was June passer and retook the exam June. luckily he passed again. he waived the first exam.

^

I have yet to verify that. I stand corrected if I am wrong.

hi there! June passers are allowed to take the exam twice due to the controversy. you have to sign a waiver if you want to retake the exam if you are eyeing an application for usa.

Nice score.. I also took the exam last July, and I got 84.8.. how were you able to find out your rank?

There's a 0.2 interval of the scores so if the top 10 placer got 85.80%. Top 11 is 85.60%. Top 12 85.40% and so on :idea:
