Hi colleagues, I am kinda new here ehe., can someone please summarize the process on how to be scheduled for the examination at PGH. The other comments states that the exam is still ongoing for manpower pooling. Your replies would be appreciated :)

Actually I am confused on where to really go and what to bring for the scheduling of examination. Thanks :)

Guys any updates about your application at PGH? I'm up for a panel interview on July 17. For those who are done with it, can you kindly give us some ideas about it? I am getting really anxious about it now. I have been a non-practicing nurse since I got my license, I have been reading nursing books from time to time but I don't know what specifically to look for to prepare for the interview. Would the panel ask regular interview questions, or would the questions be all related to nursing? TIA.

Hey Jap, yes the exam is ongoing for manpower pooling only. To get a schedule, you must secure an application form from the DNRD on the 2nd level of the main building. You can ask the receptionist for directions. Secure an application form from the DNRD (you would need a passport size pic on a white background for that as well as a current cedulla). You would also need to attach a copy of resume with character reference with it. Once you're done filling the application in, go to the cashier on the ground floor and pay the testing fee (I believe it's P300.00, I can't remember how much I paid anymore). After that go back to the DNRD and submit the application form with resume so you can get your exam schedule. It normally takes 2-3 months before you can take the NPE.

Btw is it required that the resume that I will attach with the application form be complete? i mean should it include already photocopies of certificates of training, licenses, and board ratings and others.. ehe thanks again :)

Hi mikeru22! First of all, good luck on your upcoming panel interview. I had mine last year (how time flieeees). Hmm, the questions were random, I'm lucky I was asked with personal questions, like I was asked to describe my experience as a nurse, and which area I prefer to be assigned.. Hmm, but one of my co-applicant was asked with nursing-related questions, but mostly about funda, so try to refresh yourself with the basics to be prepared just in case. :)

By the way, Ms. ****** is VERY strict in terms of attire and punctuality. So come as early as you can and follow the prescribed attire. Be confident and answer the questions straight to the point.

(Update on my application: Went to PGH last month to follow-up my application, *sigh* tentative.. next year for final interview.. But i'm not giving up or losing hope! Only one more step before finally reaching the goal)

Hey Jap. You don't need anything else. Just the resume and the application form. Once you pass the NPE, you will be given the list of documents that you need to include in your personal files.

Wooops sorry for posting the name. Anyway, i think it's not a matter of which school u came from in terms of questions, so as i told in my previous post, better review just to be prepared :) (OT: I didnt take up nursing from up/plm, tho i took my first course - bio in upm) Anyway to answer your last question, immediately after we were all done with the interview, we were already told if we passed or not. For my batch, there was only one who was asked to go back for another interview because she wasnt able to answer all questions.. She didn't fail, they gave her another chance to redo the whole panel interview. We were also given our ranking/score afterwards. Just be calm, be confident and relax! Good luck!

omg, my panel interview is scheduled tomorrow, i need to call the dnrd to confirm it at 10am today. as what i understood, the interview questions can be as simple as personal questions such as your hobbies or plans in the future but it can also be as complex as nursing procedures or nursing related questions. i am really having 2nd thoughts about reporting to work tonight since i am on a night shift and it's my first day at work for this week but if i do that, i will go straight to the interview tomorrow without any sleep at all.

is there anyone who's up for the panel interview tomorrow?

Hi mikeru22,

Will they have an interview tom? I have given them a call last July 9th and was advised that my scheduled date will be on the 17th. I was also informed that I need not to give them a call for confirmation today.
