Hello Suzanne,

First of all, I would like to greet our fellow Phil Nurses and most especially to Suzanne in giving us her unselfish time and effort in providing the necessary information for all of us who aspires to work abroad.

At present, I am working here in the middle east as CCU nurse with over 20 years of exclusive ccu experiences. I passed my CGFNS since 1994 and had passed RN-NCLEX examination 3 years ago, I also passed ACLS and BCLS.

Now my big problem is getting the Visa Screen certificate done, I do try to take the TSE thrice but unfortunately I failed. I also tried taking IELTS twice both failed ( I passed the written but I got low score in Speaking). Can you give me some insight and hints or advise what should I do to passed this test especially in Speaking as this is the area where I failed.

Thanks..

Mary

I recommend that you try the IELTS series.........academic branch, with the speaking section...........You actually have a "human" in front of you for the speaking section, not a tape recorder so the testing is more realistic, and the Filipinas have an easier chance of passing this test. Many do on the first time.

I would definitely give this one a go............ :)

And thank you for the kind words................... :Melody:

i just wanted to say hello to everybody. I have been here in San Francisco for almost a year now, and it's a big change from Texas. I currently work at acute rehab for their Traumatic brain injury unit. My son is now almost 10 months old, he was a premie at 4 lbs and 11 oz, but now he's grown to 17.5 lbs, not to mention he's got 1 tooth. that's all peeps.

any recruitment agency u can suggest here in the philippines

pls. post any credible agency that can help filipino nurse to work in california!!! please don't ask why i need an agency...etc.. i just need a good agency

hello! from what city and hospital are you? i will be moving to florida early next year too. my agency told me the probable date would be january till march. i'm excited and anxious like you! i know how you feel. i'm married with two kids. i feel so depressed to leave my dependents behind. my dependents will just follow 3 to 6 months after. well, we have to make a lot of sacrifices. the adjustment will be terrible. but i hope it will be worth it. i have to wait and see.

we have to deal with the loneliness being in a foreign country, plus the pressure of working in a new hospital. we have so much to learn. imagining my first day of duty there scares me. huh!

hello!! like you i'm also expecting to leave the country early this year according to my employer and also like you i'm also excited and anxious. i will also leave my dependents and have to follow after six months which makes me so sad but i do hope that i will be strong enough to make the sacrifice. let's just pray that we will be able to overcome all the the hardships.. God bless and Good luck...:)

Hi, everyone!

I am a filipino graduated from the Phils in 1991. I have been here in the US since 1994 thru my Mom. I had LPN license in Michigan in 1999 then moved to MS with my husband. I was pregnant at that time so I decided to not work and continue with the LPN license. I now hold an RN license for 2 years and have been working since. I never took CGFNS but some reputable reviewer evaluated my grades and said I didn't have to but took the RN NCLEX instead. My question is this: My husband is getting tenure in May and he has been applying for another position in the east coast to be closer to family. What will happen to my RN license. I know some States require CGFNS and some don't. Can I just apply for endorsement or do I have to take the CGFNS? Thanks in advance.

Goodluck to everyone who is pursuing to come to the US. My cousin is in that position right now and she will be retaking her TEOFL due to her agency's mistake. They told her that her visa screen has been paid but we found out that they just paid it in January and her TOEFL expired in November of last year.

hello to all!!!

I already passed cgfns and ielts exam, then i will apply for visa certificate. why is there a need for immigration lawyer.

have u heard the pacific union agency or the best review center

What have you done with the exams is for licensing purposes. There is a large amount of documentation that needs to be done. And very time consuming if you do not do it on a routine basis. Definitely not worth doing it one your own.

It would be like having a podiatrist perform heart surgery. Get someone experienced to do it for you.

What are the documentation that needs to be done after the exams, and how long will it takes? thanks

Specializes in ICU.

get an immigration attorney. or probably an agency (an honest one) like mine.hehe. let them do all the the documentations needed for you to be petitioned by an employer.:roll
