where to work? (Asian or MMC?)

World Philippines

Published

Hi everyone.... Well I'm currently thinking of where to work.

My first option is Makati Medical Center. I graduated in that institution and our school is always the priority when it comes to hiring nurses there. I know the place, know the benefits (that only MMC offers), seminars, training, experiences, some of the staff and the facilities. Travel is the least problem. I want to be in the ICU, OR or Kidney unit. Sad to say, 100% I wont be able to go to ICU because my brother is already working there. Relatives can't work in the same area. And my cousin also wants to work in the ICU. Same hospital, lucky for her, she has different lastname although her mom is known in the OR and ICU as a CI and the aunt of one of the staff. I want to work in that area too...

The my second option is Asian Hospital. I don't know anything about this instituation. New faces, just few minutes away from my house, new facilities, I don't know if they offer free seminars and training like MMC. I also dont know the benefits. In short, I have to start from scratch! The only difference is, I can work in the ICU if ever I'll be assign there.

I really need advice, suggestions, comments or any information..... Thank you...

your welcome... Oh by the way... if ever I'll be hired in MMC earlier than expected, and you want to apply there... If you need my help, just send me a PM. I might be able to help

thanks a lot! that would be much appreciated. god bless.

Hello! Thank you for the above post.

By the way, I just came from your hospital and saw a similar text regarding CETN. Also, I have read from the door of the Mezzanine that they will entertain applicants by January. Beside that, there is a post saying that the application requirements should be placed inside the drop box which is not there. Hmmmm.

Does this mean that they will replace the drop box by January?

Another instruction: there's an announcement to bring the original copies for verification. But if the documents are placed in a drop box, wouldn't it be risky to leave with that the original copies?

Thank you, Lenjoy!

Really? I haven't read that post when I went there. I'll try to ask my classmate who are already a nurse to verify it.

Maybe they already removed the dropbox. I haven't been there since I submitted my resume'. To tell you honestly they have direct hiring for the first 29 RTR. My cousin already had her interview this morning. I'm waiting to be interviewed! I'm nervous if they'll accept me or not even though I'm an RTR!!!!

The hiring on January must have been due to the long process of license and other PRC requirements. New nurses can't complete the requirements by this year, so maybe they moved the hiring by next year which should have been this coming December.

Don't worry, I'll ask someone about this.

Thanks for the info....

I'm just curious.. How much does that CETN cost?

It's P8000

Just came from MMC this afternoon for an interview. I thought it was a one on one interview, and it end up to be a pannel interview!!! But was posponed for 2 1/2 hours due to the bombing in glorietta this. Sad to say, we have a fellow RTR who died on the spot! May she rest in peace!!!

If we pass, we'll have our PE next week and the orientation by 2nd week of November.

Anyway.... Regarding your inquiries... Actually I haven't read the post. But I know if an applicant has an incomplete requirements except if your an RTR, they will not process it. They know that the PRC stuff is taking soooooo long, maybe that's why they moved the application by next year....

Oh by the way, when we went in the training office to fill up some forms, there's this lady who came for an interview also. I dont think she's an RTR.

Regarding the original copies, are you sure that's for applicants? You see, this is the process. First, you'll have to give them phtocopies of all the requirements they ask, then submit it thru the dropbox. Then when they asked you to give an original copy, that's the only time you'll give it. That's the time they'll verify your requirements...

Thank you, Lenjoy. As always, you've been helpful. Condolences to your fellow RTR alumna/us. Praying for her soul.

My classmate wants to apply in Asian too because she lives in Muntinlupa. Since its taking her sooooo long before she can apply, she applied in MMC. From what I've heared, they dont accept applicants who have no license, same as with other hospital. Based from other posts, Asian offers trainings for their staffs but before applying, you need to have IVT, BLS, etc, license. That means to say, you still have to spend for your own training before applying there.

I know there are lots of hospitals in PAranaque but I dont know their names.... Sorry can't help you there....

Thanks Lenyjoy..

Regarding MMC CETN, is there a deadline in submitting the requirements? I'm worried coz i left my diploma in Bicol..
