Hi mikeru22! First of all, good luck on your upcoming panel interview. I had mine last year (how time flieeees). Hmm, the questions were random, I'm lucky I was asked with personal questions, like I was asked to describe my experience as a nurse, and which area I prefer to be assigned.. Hmm, but one of my co-applicant was asked with nursing-related questions, but mostly about funda, so try to refresh yourself with the basics to be prepared just in case.

By the way, Ms. ****** is VERY strict in terms of attire and punctuality. So come as early as you can and follow the prescribed attire. Be confident and answer the questions straight to the point.

(Update on my application: Went to PGH last month to follow-up my application, *sigh* tentative.. next year for final interview.. But i'm not giving up or losing hope! Only one more step before finally reaching the goal)

Patience everyone, remember good things come to those who wait. ^^

wow congrats and God Bless for your upcoming panel interview mikeru22. Thanks for the information. Btw is it required that the resume that I will attach with the application form be complete? i mean should it include already photocopies of certificates of training, licenses, and board ratings and others.. ehe thanks again
Hey Jap. You don't need anything else. Just the resume and the application form. Once you pass the NPE, you will be given the list of documents that you need to include in your personal files.

Wow. I hope I would just be asked personal questions. OMG. I think I've read on one of the posts that graduates of UPCN, PLM or St. Paul are being asked personal questions since graduates of these schools had their RLE in PGH already. Is that true? One more question, how soon would you know if you passed the interview? Does anyone fail this part of the application at all? Hehe thanks for the info. Appreciate it...and yes good things come to those who wait.

Wooops sorry for posting the name. Anyway, i think it's not a matter of which school u came from in terms of questions, so as i told in my previous post, better review just to be prepared (OT: I didnt take up nursing from up/plm, tho i took my first course - bio in upm) Anyway to answer your last question, immediately after we were all done with the interview, we were already told if we passed or not. For my batch, there was only one who was asked to go back for another interview because she wasnt able to answer all questions.. She didn't fail, they gave her another chance to redo the whole panel interview. We were also given our ranking/score afterwards. Just be calm, be confident and relax! Good luck!

thorabeech I super appreciate all the information you've shared. I will definitely start reading nursing books again. I think I don't have any issues being calm and confident in interviews at all. LOL. Thanks again!

    up up up!!!

omg, my panel interview is scheduled tomorrow, i need to call the dnrd to confirm it at 10am today. as what i understood, the interview questions can be as simple as personal questions such as your hobbies or plans in the future but it can also be as complex as nursing procedures or nursing related questions. i am really having 2nd thoughts about reporting to work tonight since i am on a night shift and it's my first day at work for this week but if i do that, i will go straight to the interview tomorrow without any sleep at all.

is there anyone who's up for the panel interview tomorrow?

    Hi mikeru22,

Will they have an interview tom? I have given them a call last July 9th and was advised that my scheduled date will be on the 17th. I was also informed that I need not to give them a call for confirmation today.

    Hi mikeru22,

Yup! I'm done with the panel interview last Tuesday. I was overwhelmed since there are a lot of panelists. They asked a lot of personal questions and the interview didn't last that long. I will now wait for an update regarding my final interview

I just wanna ask, is the more than a year of waiting for the PGH employment worth it!?

I think it is especially if you've not been a practicing nurse for years and it is the only way that you can go back to practicing your chosen profession. It won't be if you don't have any jobs and you're family depends solely on you for a living.
