by Eyjhey Feb 27, '11Hi, I ended up posting a new thread coz something has been bothering me.
Okay, I graduated in the Philippines and migrated here in the US, and i already obtained a usrn license in Ca, I'm just wondering if you guys know if I can possibly endorse my usrn license to the philippines so i can have a license back home? am I still gonna take the NLE or i just have to submit a copy of my usrn license and the rest of the requirements? I would appreciate a feedback from you guys.

- Feb 28, '11 by Silverdragon102I would image you would have to do the NLE to obtain a license back in the Philippines
- Mar 2, '11 by EDSH_RNOnce you passed the NLE You do not have to take the NLE again. You already have a license in the Philippines as an RN but lapsed, I think you will just have to renew it again. Check out the PRC website to see what the requirements are. Hope this helps. Good luck!
- Mar 3, '11 by Silverdragon102They do not indicate they already have passed NLE. They are asking if it is possible to endorse their US license and obtain a Philippine one
- Mar 3, '11 by dodoyThere is no reciprocity regarding the transfer of your US license to the Philippines and vice versa. You need to pass the exam which is needed for the registration.teeyara likes this.

- Mar 5, '11 by EyjheyDayum. that sucks. but well, thanks again guys. if freaking IL wont let me work here, then my very last option is to endorse my license to indiana. then i just have to go home every other weekend. :P
I guess nobody wants to go back to the philippines, then submit their requirements 2 months before the exam, then chill for a while, take the exam, go back to usa, with no job waiting for you, then wait for 2 months before you get the result from NLE. then wait for a couple more months to endorse the license. -.- - Mar 5, '11 by Silverdragon102Didn't think Il requires a local license for them to issue a state license.
Be aware that each state makes their own requirements and it may get to a stage where each state will require a license to be obtained in the state or country where you trained (for other nurses reading this and thinking of the US in the future) - Mar 9, '11 by EyjheyQuote from Silverdragon102Didn't think Il requires a local license for them to issue a state license.

I totally agree, if you have plans, check the state requirements ahead of time. don't be like me. lol.
and yeah, i decided to endorse my license to IN instead of IL, IN requirements are just the basic requirements most the states ask. :P since it's a state next to IL, transportation wouldnt be a big problem. thanks for the responses folks.
- Mar 10, '11 by dibuh0why do you need a philippine license when you already have a US license? if you have a california RN license, i think you can endorse to Illinois? im like you, graduated in the philippines, applied and i have a california rn license without a philippine license, but i successfully endoresed my CA license to other state without problem..
